The AAMC Foundation Board of Directors is VERY PROUD to have given almost $1.9 million since it was formed 24 years ago to support equipment, scholarships and other programming throughout the AAMC healthcare system.
In 2021, the Foundation made its BIGGEST investment in its history by funding the Nurse/Patient Call System with a total gift of $177,456.25. $125,000.00 came from the Foundation’s Endowment and the balance of $52,456.25 came from funds raised during the 2021 Annual Campaign. This need came at a time when our hospital was experiencing many unexpected expenses which could not be delayed, costing upwards of $300,000!
In 2022, the Foundation Board committed an additional $6,000.00 in scholarship funding, bringing the total amount given to support healthcare career education to $14,000.00. Eight scholarships were given – four to AAMC employees and four to high school seniors pursing a healthcare career.
We have committed $68,700.00 to fund our 2022-2023 projects (most of which have already been purchased) that support the ED, Surgical Services, Community Health, Wellness & Outreach, the Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Center and the safety and security of our entire hospital system as well as healthcare career scholarships.
